Children's Expo

What has the Vapues Tours team been doing lately? A sustainability Update! On the 27th of October, we participated at "Nicaragua más Verde" (Nicaragua goes greener), the fifth Children's Expo, organized by 3C Ideas. The objective of the fair was to encourage primary school students to become promoters of nature-friendly practices in their communities and schools. Groups of children presented the eco-destination of their choice in a creative fashion, taking into account criteria as tourism potential and environment.

Our Sustainability Coordinator was happy to be part of the jury, awarding first place to the Anexa San Juan Bosco primary school from Masaya. On the 7th of November, Vapues Tours took the group of 10 students and their teachers on an excursion to ´El Chocoyero´ Wildlife Refuge, one of the most emblematic protected areas of Nicaragua, which is successfully being managed by a local cooperative. Altogether a meaningful- and fun day out!
